Absolutely Fantastic and Impressive
Short Review

I bought this CKF Ratata a few months ago and every day it impresses me more and more. I'm enjoying this Knife a lot in my EDC.
It's formed verry ergonomic, just a perfect handling...
I have never had such an comfortable pocket knife as this one, in the pocket it's like there were no knife inside.
One of the eye catchers is the Timascus clip, verry unique as I can say.
Long story, short end... I have never regret to buy this knife, it was my first CKF but not the last ;)
I have even got one of the Prototypes! Yay!!

Stunning Feat of Design & Engineering
Review of Ratata CLR #212.

I’ve only had this knife for a day, but think I can say without hesitation I'm overjoyed at what a fantastic knife this is. It's deceptively ergonomic, and a joy to hold and use. While one would assume by the looks that function follows form, it is quite the opposite as ultimate function was obviously first and foremost in Alexey’s mind. The flipper tab seems almost non-existent, yet it’s all you need and with a slight push of the tab the blade rockets open with an authoritative snap.

I have large hands, and was a little concerned about the handle size, but I needn’t have been. I have plenty of grip, and there are no hot spots whatsoever. The sculpting and clip absolutely vanish in the hand. It’s amazingly light, which was obviously the intention, this is a knife that’s meant to be carried. It’s narrow, easily pocketable and the clip is perfect for jeans or slacks. Yet despite its width it feels more substantial in hand. Magic? No, just superior design by a master knife maker.

The fit and finish are of course, second to none. The blade centering, lockup and bearing action are in a word, remarkable. Photographs don’t do the finish on this knife justice, although they get close. There is a depth and gloss to the stonewashed finish that is completely set apart from other black stonewashed knives I own. The timascus clip ads a sense of elegance and color while still tying in perfectly with the knife.

This truly feels like a custom, hand built knife with none of the quirks. For the price, I simply cannot think of anything that is its equal. This will sit proudly among my ZT, Brous, Reate and Rike knives and easily earns the moniker of mid-tech. This is another home run for Alexey Konygin. I was torn between the new T92 and the Ratata, I decided to go with this as I had been wanting it for a few months, and love the blade size. After handling it, I now know that there’s a T92 in my future as well as other CKF knives.

One other thing needs mentioning. The shipping was world class. I ordered on a Saturday evening, the knife shipped the following Monday, and I received it in California the following Saturday. I was emailed updates at least once a day, if not twice. I’ve never had communication this efficient. I saw a communication that it was at the distribution center, and had hoped that meant it was at the local post office. It was! I had my CKF pouch, a CKF pen, a CKF chocolate, and sticker - which will go on my KME case! CKF has a new fan, I see now why their reputation is unparalleled in the knife world.
